Instagram Will Now Let You Create AI Versions Of Yourself

Instagram is pioneering a new feature, allowing select creators to develop AI versions of themselves. Announced by CEO Mark Zuckerberg, the ‘AI Studio’ will enable creators to craft AI chatbot versions of themselves. This initiative is currently in an early testing phase in the United States.

According to Zuckerberg, users might start interacting with AI versions of their favourite creators in the coming weeks. These AI chatbots will primarily appear in messaging features and will be labelled AI.

For instance, users can tap a ‘message’ button from a creator’s Instagram profile to initiate a conversation with the AI chatbot. A notice will inform users that the messages are generated by AI, with a disclaimer about potential inaccuracies or inappropriate content.

Zuckerberg emphasized that Meta has been working closely with creators to ensure these AI chatbots are helpful and engaging.
