Twitter has reduced its workforce yet again, as has become a monthly occurrence. Twitter reportedly laid off “at least a dozen” employees in its Dublin and Singapore offices on Friday night.
Analuisa Dominguez, the company’s former senior director of revenue policy, was among those laid off, according to Bloomberg.

According to the outlet, Twitter also laid off employees in charge of the company’s misinformation policy, as well as a few people involved with the platform’s global appeals process and state media program.
Twitter’s head of trust and safety, Ella Irwin, confirmed the company recently laid off more employees but disputed the teams affected by the cuts.
“It made more sense, for example, to consolidate teams under one leader (rather than two),” she told Bloomberg, adding that Twitter eliminated roles where the company didn’t see enough “volume” to justify the talent expenditure.
She also stated that Twitter has increased staffing in its appeals department and will retain a head of revenue policy.
Elon Musk reportedly stated during an all-hands meeting on November 21st, shortly after issuing his “extremely hardcore” ultimatum to Twitter employees, that the company would not fire or lay off any more workers.

While the scale of subsequent layoffs at Twitter hasn’t matched those that occurred shortly after Musk’s takeover, the company has cut staff despite Musk’s pledge. Last month, the company laid off a portion of its infrastructure division.
According to one recent estimate by The Information, the company’s headcount is around 2,000, or slightly more than a quarter of what it had before Musk’s purchase.
