Despite some setbacks with Instagram, Meta is pressing ahead with its plan to make Reels a bigger part of its apps in order to compete with TikTok. Reels is receiving several updates, most notably from Facebook.

For starters, with the click of a button, anyone can now cross-post Reels from Instagram to Facebook. According to Meta, this may assist creators in growing their audiences on the apps and monetizing their content across both platforms.

Furthermore, Facebook now allows you to automatically create Reels from Stories you’ve already shared. The goal is to assist people in creating Reels with minimal additional effort.

Furthermore, Facebook now has more Reels remix options, which Meta previously introduced on Instagram. In addition to the side-by-side option, you can now show your video after the original Reel that you’re remixing.

In other news, the popular Add Yours sticker from Stories is making its way to Instagram and Facebook Reels. The goal is to persuade other users to join in on a trend.

If you make your own Add Yours prompt, each Reel that uses the sticker will be displayed on a separate page.

The person who created the prompt will also be prominently displayed on the page. So, if an Add Yours trend takes off and you’re at the forefront of it, it could help you grow your audience.

Meanwhile, all eligible creators on Facebook will soon be able to use the Facebook Stars tipping feature. Creators will also have access to more Reels insights through Creator Studio (including metrics such as reach, minutes viewed, and average watch time) to help them figure out what content works best for their audiences.
