Xbox users hoping to enjoy some quality playtime over the weekend were thwarted on Saturday due to a nine-hour outage.
Microsoft acknowledged in a tweet around 4 p.m. ET on Saturday that some users were unable to purchase and launch games or join Cloud Gaming sessions. Around the same time, the service Downdetector noticed an increase in error reports.

Microsoft issued an update around 1 a.m. ET on Sunday, stating that users should no longer be experiencing those issues, but Downdetector reports that a trickle of new complaints has continued into Sunday morning.
