Square Enix is working on a new mainline Kingdom Hearts game, the publisher announced on Sunday during a celebration of the franchise’s 20th anniversary in Tokyo.

Kingdom Hearts IV sees the return of series protagonist Sora, who was last seen in Kingdom Hearts III, which concluded the story arc that began with the original game in 2002.

The trailer, which Square Enix released over the weekend, begins with Sora waking up in the city of Quadratum. It’s a Tokyo-style metropolis rendered in a realistic graphical style, which marks a significant departure for the series.

The city is attacked by a towering monster after a new character named Strelitzia introduces herself to Sora. The trailer appears to seamlessly transition to gameplay as Sora runs away to face the threat.

Sora performs an impressive parkour sequence involving a collapsing building. Following the title card, the trailer reintroduces Donald Duck and Goofy, who are on the hunt for their missing friend.
