According to IGN, Capcom has announced the development of Street Fighter 6, the next chapter in the iconic fighting series. It also released a teaser trailer with Ryu and Luke, a key DLC character who appears near the end of Street Fighter V.

The game was announced via a countdown website following Capcom’s Pro Tour fighting game exhibition.

There was no additional information, but the trailer graphics suggest that the new title may employ a more realistic character style. Capcom stated that more information would be released in the summer of 2022.

Street Fighter V, released in 2016, was the first title in the series to use a full story mode, but it had a rocky start due to server issues and limited content. However, it eventually became a success, thanks in large part to the subsequent Champion and Arcade editions.

Along with the announcement of Street Fighter 6, Capcom revealed a new fighting game compilation featuring titles such as Darkstalkers: The Night Warriors, Vampire Hunter 2:Darkstalkers’ Revenge, and Hyper Street Fighter II: The Anniversary Edition. It will be available on the PS4, Xbox One, PC, and Nintendo Switch on June 24th.
