WhatsApp may soon roll out two much-anticipated features. The first is something iPhone users have been waiting for since the company allowed Samsung Galaxy owners, and later Pixel phone owners, to migrate their chat history from an iOS device.

According to The Verge, WABetaInfo discovered evidence of a feature that allows you to migrate your chat history from Android to iOS in the latest WhatsApp iOS beta release. The discovery builds on one made by the outlet in September.
According to screenshots shared by WABetaInfo, the app will ask for your permission before migrating your chat history. According to an earlier leak, you’ll also need to use Apple’s Move to iOS app as part of the transfer process.
On Android, the process is more complicated because you need a Lightning to USB-C cable and a phone that is either brand new or has recently been factory reset.
WABetaInfo also reported over the weekend that WhatsApp is working on a two-step verification feature for its desktop and web clients. If the company goes ahead with a release, you will be able to add a personal pin to your account.

As a result, whenever you want to access WhatsApp via computer or online, you’ll need to enter that passcode, as well as the six-digit pin WhatsApp sends to your phone. That will help protect you from SIM swap attacks.
It’s unclear when either feature will be available. WhatsApp CEO Will Cathcart stated a month before the migration one launched on Samsung devices that it would be available on iOS phones soon.
