Nintendo revealed late last year that the Kingdom Hearts trilogy would be coming to the Nintendo Switch, but only as cloud streaming titles.

Square Enix has now announced that the three games, Kingdom Hearts – HD 1.5 + 2.5 ReMix, Kingdom Hearts HD 2.8 Final Chapter Prologue, and Kingdom Hearts III, will be available on Switch via cloud on February 10th for a hefty $90, or $72 if pre-ordered.

That’s essentially the entire series up to the most recent chapter, Kingdom Hearts III, and it’s one of Square Enix’s best-selling franchises of all time, especially the original and Kingdom Hearts III titles.

Because the Switch trilogy is a cloud version, you’ll need a decent internet connection to have a good time. While the latest Kingdom Hearts III chapter appears to be a cloud release for the PlayStation 4 and Xbox One.

One has to wonder why the first two games couldn’t have been remade to run directly on the Switch. After all, it can run Witcher 3 and the Assassin’s Creed collection, both of which will be released on February 18th.

Square Enix stated that by purchasing the all-in-one collection or individual Kingdom Hearts III version, you will receive the Advent Red Keyblade for use in the Kingdom Hearts III + Re Mind (DLC).

In addition, a Kingdom Hearts 20th anniversary event will be held in Tokyo, complete with a mini concert, Q&A with the development team, an exhibition, and other activities.

Pre-orders for the collection are now available for $72. If that’s too much for you, you can pre-order individual titles for $33 to $40. The Kingdom Hearts trilogy price increases to $90 after that, so if you’re interested, try to get it before the February 10th release date.
