The Horizon Forbidden West expansion and VR spinoff will not be the last we see of Guerrilla Games’ Horizon universe. At least two more games for the PlayStation franchise are in the works, including a multiplayer title.
Guerrilla announced the news in a recruitment tweet. Along with more “epic solo adventures for Aloy,” the protagonist of the first two games, the studio has formed a separate team to work on a “online project set in Horizon’s universe.”

Guerrilla had been rumored to be working on a multiplayer Horizon game since last year, and the studio has now confirmed this. Sony is putting more emphasis on live service games.
It intends to release ten of them by March 2026, including a multiplayer sequel to The Last of Us. However, it is currently unclear how the online Horizon game fits into that strategy.
