This past summer, Atlus surprised gaming fans by announcing that its beloved Persona series, Persona 3 Portable’ And ‘Persona 4 Golden’ would be available on Xbox Game Pass.

Following that announcement, it was revealed that Persona 3 Portable, Persona 4 Golden, and Persona 5 Royal would be released on other modern platforms as well.

At the time, the company stated that P5R would be the first of three games to be released, with the other two following in 2023.

On Saturday, ahead of the October 21st release of Persona 5 Royal on PlayStation 5, Nintendo Switch, Steam, and Xbox Game Pass, Atlus announced that Persona 3 Portable and Persona 4 Golden would be released on additional platforms on January 19th, 2023.

That means PlayStation 4 (and PS5 via backward compatibility), Nintendo Switch, Steam, and Xbox Game Pass for the former. For the latter, P4G has been available on those same platforms, minus Steam, since 2020.

Because of the increased availability, many more people will be able to enjoy the Persona series. You had to go out of your way to play the older titles before Atlus announced it was bringing the franchise to more platforms.

Persona 4 Golden, for example, was only available on PlayStation Vita prior to its 2020 Steam release. Meanwhile, for P3P, your options were either PlayStation Portable or, more likely, PS Vita via backward compatibility.
