Mercedes-Benz has revealed when you might be able to drive its electric G-Class. According to Autoblog, the vehicle will be available by the end of 2024, according to the CEO of the automaker, Ola Källenius.
In 2019, the company announced a zero-emission electric version of the SUV, and we saw a close-up of an EQG concept last year.

Källenius tested an EV prototype last fall at Mercedes’ testing grounds in Graz, Austria, where the company typically evaluates the internal combustion version of the G-Class. He appears to have had a positive experience.
“Off-roading is now electric,” Källenius told reporters.
Making an electric version of the G-Class work was critical to the SUV’s long-term viability. By 2030, Mercedes hopes to have an all-electric vehicle lineup.
