As we approach Wednesday’s “Far Out” iPhone 14 event, Apple leaks are coming in thick and fast. Thanks to renders from 91mobiles, we now have our best look yet at the Apple Watch Pro.

Most leaks from unknown “industry sources” should be taken with a grain of salt, but according to Bloomberg’s Mark Gurman, the renders are “indeed it.” And, for the most part, it’s exactly what we expected.

As Gurman previously reported, there is a larger screen, as well as a minor evolution of the Apple Watch Series 7 design. (I apologize to flat edge fans.)

Close inspection reveals an additional button on the opposite side of the (ruggedized) Digital Crown and multitasking button.

91mobile and Gurman both speculate that it could be programmable, allowing you to launch a specific app or workout without using the touchscreen.

Sonny Dickson and DuanRui case leaks (via The Verge and Weibo) also point to a larger screen and an additional button.

The Apple Watch Pro will most likely be aimed at extreme sports enthusiasts—people who wouldn’t mind spending close to $1,000 on Garmin’s high-end smartwatches.

While that may appear extravagant, keep in mind that there have always been high-end Apple Watch models that were not intended for mortal wallets.

The current Hermes Series 7 collection starts at $1,759 and goes up from there. With that in mind, perhaps a $1,000 Apple Watch Pro doesn’t seem so outlandish? (No, it’s still insane.)
