Google’s YouTube TV service may soon become more conducive to sports viewing. According to Protocol, the company is working on a feature called Mosaic Mode, which will allow subscribers to stream up to four live feeds at the same time.

Google reportedly discussed the feature with manufacturing partners at an event last month.
Mosaic Mode is one of several new features being developed by Google for its YouTube platform. Protocol reports that smart TV owners can expect an improved YouTube Music experience, as well as improved Nest audio integration, in the coming months.
Oh, and if you were using the YouTube app for TVs to avoid Shorts, don’t expect that to last. According to reports, Google informed its partners that it was working on adding support for the video format to the YouTube smart TV app.

Allowing subscribers to watch four streams at once would be a logical extension of Google’s recent NBA partnership and other investments made to make YouTube TV more appealing to cord cutters.
