Rogue One: A Star Wars Story will be re-released in theaters ahead of Andor’s September 21st debut. The 2016 film will be re-released in IMAX theaters in the United States on August 26th, along with a “exclusive look” at the upcoming Disney+ series.
The preview’s details are scarce, but it’s likely to expand on the most recent Andor trailer, which Disney released on August 1st. In any case, the rerelease of Rogue One will allow Star Wars fans to rewatch the film before Diego Luna reprises his role as Cassian Andor.

Andor tells the story of how the rebellion began five years before the events of Rogue One, which is a prequel to A New Hope. The series is being marketed by Disney as a spy thriller. Diego Luna isn’t the only actor returning to the franchise with Andor.
Genevieve O’Reilly and Forest Whitaker return as Mon Mothma and Saw Gerrera, respectively. The series was supposed to premiere on August 31st, but Disney pushed it back to give She-Hulk: Attorney at Law more time to find an audience.
Andor’s first three episodes will premiere simultaneously, with subsequent episodes following every Wednesday.

Rogue One is widely regarded as one of the best films to emerge from the Disney Star Wars era. During its initial box office run, the film grossed more than $1 billion and earned two Academy Awards. If you don’t live near an IMAX theater, you can watch the film on Disney+.
