Privateer Space is a company founded by Steve Wozniak. On late Sunday, the Apple co-founder announced the private space firm. Unfortunately, other than promising that his company would be “unlike the others,” Woz didn’t reveal much about the venture.

Privateer, according to a teaser video on YouTube, was co-founded by former Apple engineer Alex Fielding. Wozniak and Fielding have frequently collaborated over the years.
They co-founded Wheels of Zeus (WoZ) in 2002, which specialized in GPS smart tags. Wozniak later served on the board of directors of Ripcord Networks, the robotics startup Fielding founded after the demise of Wheel of Zeus in 2006.
Privateer says on its website that it will have more to share at the upcoming AMOS tech conference in Maui, Hawaii, which begins on September 14th.

What is clear is that Woz and his team are about to enter a highly competitive market dominated by billionaires such as Elon Musk and Jeff Bezos. That is not an easy market to break into.
