RuneScape is reportedly making its way to mobile devices and it will be this summer. The classic MMORPG has been in early access on iOS and Android for a while, it’ll be available for everyone in the coming months. RuneScape will still be free-to-play, and with extra skills, quests and some more perks for paying subscribers.

Publisher Jagex explained that the game had more than 2.1 million installs on mobile during early access. It also hit a record-high number of subscribers last year, with more than 1.2 million. While RuneScape is over two decades old, the franchise still has a thriving user base that’s seemingly ready to play while on the go.
Existing RuneScape players should also know that there’s cross-play and cross-progression support with the PC version. They will have access to all their quests, characters, equipment and lots more.
Jagex has reformed RuneScape’s UI for mobile version and given it a visual and operational overhaul. The menus is redesigned, icons, text, and textures, and refined the combat mechanics for mobile version.
If you want to join… you can pre-order RuneScape on iOS and pre-register on Android. When enough people registers, Jagex will then unlock some more exclusive cosmetic features.
