Those who’re yet to sign up for PlayStation Plus now that is has online multiplayer and bonus games will soon have more reasons to do. A Video Game Chronicle recent report says that Sony briefly shared a logo and a description for a “PlayStation Plus Video Pass” on its website.

Though Sony has since taken down the post, but the message is still very much clear which is a promised access to Sony movies including Bloodshot, Venom, and Zombie land: Double Tap as part of a “trial service” that would last for one year.
This is coming at a time the company promised it would stop selling movies and TV shows through the PlayStation Store, and a Video Pass could fill that gap.
Sony also has a very long catalog of videos that it can stream without considering licensing content from other studios, including Funimation and it recently acquired Crunchyroll anime service.
Nothing is confusing about the pass. It could increase the value of PlayStation Plus and keep users subscribed even if they don’t take full advantage of the service’s major gaming features.
It’s not clear how this will affect Netflix and Amazon, but it doesn’t have to affect the selection of both giant streaming services as long as it boosts Plus membership.
