TikTok has moved backward on the app store following President Trump’s ban threat recently, giving way for competitor Triller to move to the front.

On Sunday, Microsoft revealed it’s in talks to acquire TikTok from Chinese parent company ByteDance following U.S. President Donald Trump announced it was going to ban the video-sharing app for its ties with China even though TikTok denied a relationship with Beijing.

Now Triller, a video-sharing app that recently attracted some former TikTok influencers, has taken the top spot in the iOS App Store.
