We first heard of Uber’s Quiet Cars, and now the socially avoidant can get their Postmates without actually seeing any delivery person let alone having contact with anyone.

The company said it has added “Dropoff Options” to its delivery service, and we are sure it’s as a result of the coronavirus fear, though they didn’t mention the fast spreading epidemic by name.

But clearly looking to deliver postmates to people who for one reason or the other, would prefer to have as little contact with others as possible or no contact at all can only be initiated after a thought to prevent the coronavirus.

As it is, the options include meeting at curbside, front door, or no-contact where they’re left at the door.

On Friday Instacart also launched “Leave at my door” delivery service system for its grocery dropoffs, mimicking changes seen in China as the virus continued to spread rapidly, albeit without the temperature readings of everyone who was involved in preparation or delivery.
