One of the year’s best games is leaving Game Pass. Supergiant’s Hades will no longer be available through Microsoft’s subscription gaming service as of August 31st. If you haven’t played it yet, Hades is a true gem.
It’s an action RPG created by the same team that created Bastion, Transistor, and Pyre. Few games provide a more cohesive experience than Hades. The art, music, story, and gameplay elements all complement one another. Hades can be as tough as nails, but it is never unjust.
PSA: Hades will be leaving @XboxGamePass and @XboxGamePassPC later this month on August 31, so get those escape attempts in while you still can! Thank you to everyone who’s battled through the Underworld over the past year!

It’s one of a few games that will be removed from Game Pass on the 31st. Myst, Spiritfarer, Two Point Hospital, and What Remains of Edith Finch are also on their way out.
There aren’t many noteworthy games arriving in August to replace those titles, but if Hades piqued your interest in ancient Greek mythology, you’ll want to check out Ubisoft’s Immortals Fenyx Rising. It’s an open-world action RPG with a wicked sense of humour.
