From the look of things, Apple will be packing a lot of new gadgets into its next week’s show, and according to reports, you could expect two versions of the iPhone 12 Pro and two versions of the standard iPhone 12, which would make this the biggest swath of brand new phones the company has ever released at once.
It also appears Apple is making its iPhones more physically diverse than it has always done in the past. The smallest model which is among those coming next week is the 5.4-inch iPhone 12, which looks like the original iPhone SE and the SE released this year in size.
Apple will also reveal a version of the iPhone 12 Pro with a 6.7-inch display being the biggest the giant has ever fused into a phone. As we look forward to seeing some brand new types of iPhones next week, the biggest draw might be the features they’re coming with. Just like iPad Air, iPhone 12 series will use Apple’s latest mobile chipset, the A14 Bionic.
While that chipset stacks up favorably to the silicon used in Apple’s last-generation iPad Air, Apple hasn’t yet hinted on how it compares to last year’s very fast A13s. But we hope the company has some very new power efficiency improvements it has made to announced next week.
That will be super necessary now that the company is finally embracing 5G, although rumors had already suggested that all new iPhones will support sub-6 5G, support for faster (but less common) mmWave 5G may be limited to just a single model.

Apple’s iPhones are always at the front of whatever show they appear in, and the company’s emphasis on speed in its invitations could show in one or more interesting way. This comes as Apple said it plans to ditch Intel’s processors and launch a new path for its desktops and laptops with in-house chipsets at the beginning of this year.
